One of the world’s top airports

Frankfurt airport is by far Germany’s largest airport and is one of the world’s top airports. About 100 airlines connect Frankfurt directly with about 300 destinations all over the world. The airport is a major hub where passengers can quickly transfer to other flights. The airport’s capacity is being continuously expanded to meet the projected increases in passenger numbers.

Terminal 1 was expanded at the end of 2012 with the new A-Plus departure gate. Right above the airport’s long-distance train station is the 600-m commercial development, The Squaire, which gives the airport one of the most modern service centers in the Rhein-Main region. In addition the airport will have an innovative and sustainable handling area by 2022 with the new Terminal 3. It will have the capacity to handle up to 14 million passengers a year.

Diverse tours offer an especially close insight into the fascinating world of the airport and they will interest young and old alike. For full information, go to www.airporttours.frankfurt-airport.com.
