Balalaika
Owner and singer Anita Bohlender, who came from New York to Frankfurt in 1963, can be heard almost every evening. Guests can play too. Dark, quaint bar offering interesting cocktails and small snacks.

Batschkapp
One of the most famous rock clubs and meeting places in Germany celebrated its 30th birthday in 2006. Whether Billy Talent or Bushido, Eric Burdon or the Red Hot Chili Peppers: the stars of the alternative music scene have appeared here, often when they were just starting out. There are parties on Friday and Saturday nights. Various DJs transform the location into a hot party hall.

Brotfabrik
Self-administered center in a former bakery, with 11 different projects over 1,500 sq m. In addition to two stages, there is a large event hall, two restaurants, a bar, many different bands from Germany and beyond, as well as theme-based concert series.

Club Voltaire
The club, which was established in 1962, is a political/cultural center with lectures and discussions, satire, readings and chanson evenings. Almost everything is played here; mainstream, modern jazz, contemporary jazz, popular modern jazz, blues.

Dreikönigskeller
Small cellar vault for a wide variety of jam sessions. Concerts every weekend.

Elfer
The Elfer has been an institution in terms of musicians’ hangouts, right next to Frankfurt’s legendary Batschkapp music hall. Musicians such as Robbie Williams, Nena and Rosenstolz have played table soccer here. Many live concerts take place here as well, just like next door.

Frankfurter Art Bar (FAB)
Nice music bar with delicious snacks and, even better, good beer. There’s always something going on from Tuesdays to Saturdays. Concerts, cabaret, readings and performances take place every Wednesday, open stage on Thursdays, “easy listening” jazz on Fridays.

Jazzkeller
Jazz greats have been playing here for more than fifty years. Frankfurt´s Jazzkeller is known the world over. "Swinging´-Latin-Funky Dance-Nite" on Fridays, live music every other night.

Mampf
Small and marvelous, the jazz bar was established in 1972. With more than 150 concerts a year, is a real gem in Frankfurt for live music.

Mosaik
Mainly jazz fans can be found in the new “baby” in the Frankfurt music scene. The small room has space for about 50 guests.

Musikkeller
Concert hall in the basement of a gymnasium; every Friday, there are concerts in the areas of country, rock, cover, pop and karaoke.

Nachtleben
Some young talents have gotten their start in the basement of the café bar, which is a venue for many concerts and always worth a visit.

Orange Peel
Relatively small but very friendly live music club. Blues session with Tommy Harris and Friends on Tuesdays, different non-mainstream theme nights on Saturday, on other nights concerts covering all kinds of musical styles.

Ponyhof
In the former Betts club, you won’t see little ponies romping about – instead there are appearances by small bands aiming for a big break. The musical focus is on folk, rock and indie. Singer-songwriters are also a popular attraction.

Sinkkasten
Dancing, rocking, live music. For over 30 years, the Sinkkasten has been one of the best places to listen to great music with a beer. Everybody who is somebody in Frankfurt’s music scene has appeared here.

Spritzehaus
In the middle of the cider quarter, an absolute must for fans of live music. Daily concerts, great easy-going, rock-oriented atmosphere. A lot of people with jeans and long hair. Best rock location in the city.

Südbahnhof Musiklokal
Concerts with music from the old days on Saturdays and Sundays. If you get hungry from all the dancing there are plenty of tasty bites and cool beer.
