Luciano
This once prominent Italian restaurant doesn’t appear particularly inviting at first sight and the wooden tables in the dining area are not to everyone’s taste. But it’s a good place to come to if you like a sophisticated, lightly conservative style. The classic Italian food fits in with the solid backdrop and is served in respectable portions without fuss. Special plus points for the waiting staff, who are always alert and very proper, and now and then even make a witty remark.

Ristorante Alfredo
When the curtains come down at the next-door opera house, it gets busy here. One reason is the fine Italian cooking, which impresses with its persuasive simplicity, pure aromas and modern interpretation. The other is that the restaurant is itself a stage. Every Friday the charming maestro Roberto Canturan delights diners after a six-course meal with opera arias with piano accompaniment. Bravissimo!
