With a holistic approach, the Strothoff International School teaches future core competencies

Everyone contributes, everyone reflects, everyone grows – this is the vision of the Strothoff International School (SIS) in Dreieich near Frankfurt, which was founded in 2009. The private all-day school supports the individual strengths of each student so that they can grow into responsible members of the community.

SIS is the only school in the region to offer the complete International Baccalaureate program. The recognized IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate) gives students access to universities worldwide.

SIS prepares children and young people aged 3 to 19 for the core skills of the 21st century in a multilingual, family-oriented, motivating and action-oriented learning environment. It operates with a holistic approach where students apply what they learn through classroom content, projects and community engagement.

As early as kindergarten, children are taught simultaneously in German and English in tandem. In addition to the existing Primary Years Programme (primary school), a new primary school starting at age six with an entry level starting at age five based on the Phorms concept for 20 children per class will be established at the Dreieich Campus in the coming school year 2022/23. This recognized Ersatzschule with income-dependent school fees is particularly attractive for families with an international career orientation.

In their later school careers (Middle Years Programme), students apply their acquired knowledge practically as "project managers" in interdisciplinary programmes such as the Compassionate Changemaker & Leadership Lab, and also learn to solve global problems at a local level.

The 16- to 19-year-olds complete their school career with the Diploma Programme. SIS offers three options for graduation. All start in MYP4 and 5, which differ in the last two years of school: two lead to the IB Diploma, and the third to the school's own High School Diploma Programme, which is also certified and internationally recognized.
