Great entertainment

KKE_TDV_SZENENMOTIV01_2428X2480PX_300DPI_800x400Tanz Der Vampire

Imagine you´re in the Stuttgart State Theater. The performance is about to start. The last murmurs in the audience die down.
The music of Sergej Prokovjev fills the auditorium and the curtain goes up.
On the program is a Romeo & Juliet ballet by John Cranko.
The scene is set for a great cultural evening! This is the way that hundreds od spectators experience performances not only in the State Theater, but also in the large and small theaters in the city.
The spectrum of artistic entertainment ranges from classic opera, drama and ballet to musicals and vaudeville to experimental dance and poetic marionette theater. Many culture fans are convinced after a visit to the State Theater that Stuttgart is one of the glitziest cultural cities in Germany.
The theater is the world´s largest mulit-use venue for the three major art forms.

Its high-quality program offers the choice of opera, drama and ballet performances.
If you decide on ballet, you´ll experience top-quality dancing beyond the usual clichés of tutus and toe-tapping.
Stuttgart also allows puppets to dance in small cultural venues such as the Theater am Faden and Nellys Puppentheater where children and adults are moved to laughter and have their dreams fulfilled by the performances.

The musicals that are staged in the theaters in the SI Zentrum also induce dreamy moods as well as elation and rapturous applause from audiences.
The absolute favorite of spectators is the mystery musical Wicked, which came to the Swabian metropolis directly from Broadway.

To date, it hasn´t been staged in any other city in Germany.
If all this has aroused your curiosity, we recommend going to Stuttgartnacht in October, when a great number of cultural facilities open their doors for the evening and offer arts enthusiasts a cultural voyage of discovery under the slogan "theater, music, movies and parties.
