Munich Action Park (MAP)

The Munich Action Park (MAP), located in the former Olympic Ice Sports Centre, is one of Munich’s most exciting new sports and leisure destinations. This modern urban sports hub offers a wide range of training opportunities for children, teenagers and adults – from first-time visitors to dedicated athletes.

Highlights include spacious areas for bouldering, parkour, calisthenics, ninja-style obstacle courses and functional fitness training. A large kids’ area also provides younger visitors with a safe and fun introduction to movement and action sports.

The versatile training facilities are designed for both beginners and experienced athletes. Whether you want to improve your agility, strength, endurance or coordination, you will find ideal conditions here – indoors, weather-independent and right in the heart of Munich.

The development of the sports centre is still ongoing. Additional areas for skateboarding, BMX, 3x3 basketball and further leisure activities are already planned or currently under construction.

Step by step, Munich Action Park is developing into one of the city’s largest and most diverse urban sports hotspots.

MyRadl: Neues Bikesharing-System für München und die Region

Anyone looking for a convenient way to get around Munich by bike now has a new option: Since May 2026, MyRadl has been connecting the Bavarian capital with numerous municipalities throughout the greater Munich region through a regional bike-sharing network.

The system currently includes around 1,000 stations and more than 6,700 bicycles and e-bikes. Bikes can be rented easily via the MyRadl app and returned at any participating station. One of the major advantages is that the network extends beyond Munich’s city limits, making trips between the city and many locations within the MVV region simple and convenient.

MyRadl is particularly useful for covering the “last mile” between train stations, bus stops or underground stations and a final destination. At the same time, it offers an attractive alternative for leisure rides and excursions into the surrounding countryside.

The MyRadl app provides information about available bikes, station locations and pricing. In addition to standard bicycles, many stations also offer e-bikes, making longer distances and hilly routes much more comfortable.

With MyRadl, Munich and the wider MVV region continue to expand their sustainable mobility options. The system makes it easier for commuters, visitors and residents alike to travel flexibly while reducing their environmental impact.

794 JIDAI: Sushi, Cocktails und Nightlife am Lenbachplatz

If you're looking for more than just dinner in Munich, 794 JIDAI at Lenbachplatz is well worth a visit. This stylish restaurant combines high-quality Asian fusion cuisine with an elegant bar and an atmosphere that becomes increasingly vibrant as the evening unfolds. Rather than offering a traditional Asian restaurant experience, 794 JIDAI focuses on a contemporary concept where great food, creative drinks and a touch of nightlife come together.

Atmosphere & Concept

From the moment you step inside, it becomes clear that 794 JIDAI aims to be more than just a restaurant. The interior is modern and sophisticated without feeling overly formal. At the heart of the venue is the open sushi bar, where guests can watch the chefs at work.

Especially on weekends, the restaurant transforms into a lively meeting place for those who want to stay for a cocktail after dinner. Music, a stylish bar atmosphere and the central location at Lenbachplatz make it a popular destination well into the evening.

Food & Drinks

The menu combines classic sushi favourites with creative signature dishes and contemporary Asian cuisine. Alongside nigiri, maki and sashimi, guests can choose from a variety of signature rolls, dumplings, curries, tataki and other fusion creations inspired by international flavours.

Vegetarians are also well catered for. Several plant-based dishes and vegetarian sushi options ensure that there is something for every taste.

The bar plays an equally important role in the overall concept. Cocktails, signature drinks, wine and champagne make 794 JIDAI a place where the evening does not necessarily end with dessert.

Conclusion

794 JIDAI is an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys combining great food with a lively atmosphere. Munich offers plenty of options for a quiet dinner, but those looking for modern Asian dining, creative cocktails and a touch of big-city flair should definitely add this newcomer at Lenbachplatz to their list.
