Sea Life CenterSharks, seahorses, prawns and corals – in spring 2006 all kinds of interesting underwater creatures moved to Munich. Then the Sea Life Center at the Olympic Park opened its gates. On almost 2,200 square meters the € 10.5 million salt and freshwater aquarium will showcase the way the water flows along the river Isar and via the Danube to the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. More than 10,000 fish belonging to some 120 species dwell in thirty different salt and freshwater pools.

Bavaria FilmstudiosLegoland, themeparks, Circus Krone – even families have a wide choice of amusement activities in and around Munich. The Bavaria Filmstudios in Geiselgasteig south of Munich, for example, are an attraction for children and adults alike. Cinema and TV highlights have been produced here for over 80 years. On the filmstudio tour visitors can watch a spectacular stunt show in the setting of a New York suburb, walk around the village from the film “Asterix and Obelix”, or stroke the lucky dragon from “The Neverending Story.” At Hellabrunn zoo on the other hand you can meet some real animals: camel riding, trained elephants or the monkey house for example make the zoo ideal for families. Since April 2006 fans of Nemo and his friends can pay the fascinating underwater world a visit at the Olympic Park. The new fresh and salt water aquarium, Sealife München, has some 10 000 Fische in 30 tanks. Highlight of Germany’s ninth Sea Life Aquariums is the 400,000-liter mediterranean pool with its 10-meter underwater tunnel. Other adventures wait outside Munich, e.g. the new Legoland, a Playmobil FunPark or the Wild West park, Pullman City.
