Baby care is being supplemented further because Munich has been experiencing a baby boom for several years. The Bavarian capital already provides nearly 9,000 places in day nurseries for youngsters aged up to three, almost half of all day-nursery places in Bavaria. For children between 3 and 6, the sponsors have 34,400 kindergarten slots available. The trend is also increasing here.

Emphasis is placed on intercultural education. “Mini-Munich” residents from up to 30 countries play and learn under one roof in the municipal kindergartens. Furthermore, the little ones also benefit from international play groups, for example the play and learn center Gymboree Play & Music or the Munich Mummies and Munchkins.
